The product in detail

Bona SJ346 is a concentrated cleaner for compatible hardwood floors. It is used to prepare a working solution at the label dose and should not be applied like a ready-to-use spray. Before choosing it, identify the wood finish and applicator, then plan a clean, labelled dilution container.

Lifts soil from the surface of the finish. Marks that penetrate the coating need finish repair.

Surfaces and compatibility

First identify the wood and its finish: varnish, polyurethane, penetrating oil or another system. A hardwood product is not automatically suitable for every finish, unfinished wood or damaged flooring.

The supplier describes the package as “1 gal (4.5 L)”. This is not equivalent to a 3.785 L US gallon; confirm the actual container volume on the label instead of inferring it from the word gallon.

Preparation and use

Confirm the cleaner is approved for the finish. Measure the label dilution and use the minimum moisture allowed by the method.

  1. Remove dust with a soft brush or clean dry microfibre pad.
  2. Check the reference, permitted finish and preparation on the label. Measure concentrate dilution precisely.
  3. Test the complete method in a hidden area, then inspect the result once dry.
  4. Apply the permitted quantity to a small area or pad as instructed. Prevent pooling around joints and baseboards.
  5. Replace the pad when it becomes soiled. Allow the floor to dry before walking on it.

Follow the supplied reference’s label and SDS, plus flooring and machine instructions. Do not mix products. The method guidance below complements manuals and does not set a dilution or contact time missing from them.

Care and storage

Maintain the microfibre pad and sprayer for even application. Wipe up spills promptly. Follow product storage conditions and do not store diluted solution unless the instructions permit it.

Limits and things to check

Avoid saturating wood. Black staining, swollen fibres, peeling finish or wear through to bare wood may require repair. Cleaning cannot correct failed finish or moisture damage.

Equipment, accessories and options

Plan for a measuring device, labelled container and compatible microfibre pad. Confirm exact packaging when ordering.
